Title: Splits and swarms
Post by: dpence on May 14, 2009, 05:21:30 pm
Thought I would share a picture of the nucs we created from splits and swarms in the last week.  Things are really expanding this year.

watch out, it can be habit forming, next thing you know you will be like some of us building equipment most of the winter and ordering 1000-5000 frame and foundation (hoping you bought enough) after Christmas to fill you equipment

Thanks JP, but my wife is the one responsible for the color...LOL.

TWT, it is very addictive.  We are planning to expand more.  Have had some individuals ask for hives on their property so have new sources for out yards.  You can see we added to the backyard.

you hooked now, better break out the check book  :-D , good luck with your additions.... it get different when you go through every hive (doing first full inspections of the year after winter) and cant do it in a full day going from yard to yard, seems almost like work then  ;)
