Hey Brother Dave,

You may want to try the main posting forum and be a little more specific. Orchard bees? Winter care? feeding, medicating, checking? I'm still wet behind the ears but there's plenty that can and will help over on the main forum.

and welcome

do you mean mason bees?
Someone really ought to tell them that the world of Ayn Rand?s novel was not meant to be aspirational.

You might like to look at these links for maintenance of Orchard Mason bees:

Maintenance instructions from Lewis County Beekeepers http://lewiscountybeekeepers.org/yahoo_site_admin/assets/docs/Mason_Bee_Maintenance.357133331.pdf

Monthly instructions specific to "The Straw-Insert System" from Washington State University http://county.wsu.edu/king/gardening/mg/factsheets/Fact%20Sheets/Orchard%20Mason%20Bees.pdf

Blog diary entry of winter care of mason bees by Russel Nursery http://russellnursery.wordpress.com/2011/02/11/winter-care-of-mason-bees/

I hope that helps!
