Hello From Northwest Ga.
« on: June 10, 2009, 06:06:07 pm »
Hello from Rocky Face, GA.

I am a first year beekeeper with 1 hive and I really enjoy the bees so far.
(Haven't been stung yet).

I have a KTBH but plan to use both Top Bar Hives and Lang Hives.

Glad to be here, hope to learn a lot.

Welcome.

Thanks everybody.
It's great to be in such fine company.
I can feel the knowledge coming right out of the air.

Like I said, I am a first time beek and I started with a KTBH due to financial reasons.
Now I am really glad I did because I got to build the hive myself and get a hands on feel for beekeeping, and now I have learned
first hand about SHB and possibly Tracheal mites. (The elbow end of a hive tool works wonders on beetles).

I have also started making Wedged top bars and the bees take right to them and I have also built a 10 frame medium hive and can't wait to get some bees in it.

Thanks Again for the welcome,

David

Rocky Face!
AH HA!

I bought my Beechcraft from two old fellas in Rocky Face!
