Are the doorstep sales allowed by law in your country?
Are the small beekeepers satisfied with the production and sales that way?
Possible to live with honey production?
Are there many honey buyers/distributors and what are the prices they offer?

I sell legally from the front porch. (close to the front door) I will make deliveries, but we don't encourage it. Easier for people to come to me. I do keep a box of honey in the truck when people stop and ask. They do like local honey. Yes it is possible to live with honey sales.

I sure hope It's legal. I sold most of my 25 cases of pints to 3 counties worth of sheriff's deputies . at 10.00 a pint and could not keep up with the demand. I sold out completely by end of July.

yes 10.00 X 12 pints X 25 cases = 3000.00

Divemaster, we don't get that much here. $5 to $6 for pints and $7 for pints with comb. I did my last extraction the last of July, was sold out by 15 th of Oct. Sold most just friends people that had heard I have bees and local honey. I got 17 gal. spring and summer extracting together. 1 case of comb honey in spring and 4 in the summer. This is my first year also.

Just remember, you are competing with walmart. You sell local honey, right from the hive off the farm. If people want to pay walmart prices, go tell them to buy walmart honey. You sell premium honey. Price it as that. Never sell your self short.

$10 a pound out my front door. I know most in this area are $8 a pound but I figure they are on my front porch and there is no other product on the shelf on my front porch so they can take it or leave it.
