My three hives are doing well, the one survivor from last year has filled the top super and the other two (one is a split of the survivor and the other a new package this year) are not far behind.
I bought an antique 2-frame hand crank extractor a couple months ago (thanks again Annette!), and now I am pulling out 2 frames at a time, draining them and replacing them for the bees to refill. Two hours work to extract/strain/bottle 8 lbs of honey each weekend has been a joy.
It's really been working out great for me. Just thought I'd share, and take a moment to say thanks to everyone here for their support and helpful words.
