Did anyone answer about using the plastic extractor?  Want to know if the Dadant unit was acceptable - can't expect too much for the price.

I have a number of beek friends with extractors and I borrow theirs, so I've used the plastic, two-frame extractor as well as a few others. The plastic one worked fine, but it didn't seem particularly durable. In my opinion, I'd rather save longer and wait until I can buy a better one.

You can build a 9 frame radial for cheaper than you can buy the plastic one.  I won't post the link to avoid spamming it yet again but I've posted a link to plans in the past that works quite well.
