Hi from England
« on: July 17, 2011, 06:13:27 pm »
Hi everyone. I have just taken delivery of my first bees and installed them into a top bar hive. It's been about a month now and everything seems to bee ok. I have done one good inspection last week and they are drawing out natural comb and getting on with it. I don't expect any honey this season but will look forward to some next year, hopefully. Well that's, me introduced to you and I will bee popping back again from time to time to read all your posts.  All the best from South Coast UK.
Keep an eye on those two horses while I count them

doing this beekeeping lark since May. The trouble is they are facinating - the bring out the mathematician, scientist and engineer in me.
The differential equations modeling their growth, temperature reulation, engineering honey efficiency into hives ....hooked.   btw I dont lie  honey
If they increased energy bill for your home by a factor of 4.5 would you consider that cruel? If so why are you doing that to your bees?
