I just hate spider bites.  Got bit last summer by some sort of spider and ended up on antibiotics also. The whole left side of my face blew up and my ear got infected.

I kill all spiders that come into the house.

Nasty little critters they can be.  I was always fascinated by them, just like my fascination with bees, but I have no interest in becoming a spiderkeeper.  We have a pact, they stay outside and Pam doesn't make me kill them.    (I would simply pick them up and place them outside, but she wants them dead.)

That is a pretty gnarly looking spider.  EEEEEEEEEK!!!  How did it manage to bite you on the head?  Were you sleeping or was it hiding in a hat or something?

I have not seen any hobo spiders here in GA.  We do however have more than our fare share of black widows, some kind of brown tarantula and the worst of the bunch is the brown recluses.  The brown recluse packs a pretty good punch and causes your flesh to die.  I have had friends that have spent months recovering from a brown recluse bite.  Very nasty.

Everything in the south bites and is usually poisonous.

I gotta go back and look at that spider link now.
Where did you get the tree? did you pick it yourself or did it come from a store?

Your right Irwin.  Some of them little buggers can leave you paralyzed if not taken care of. I like them about as much as them rotten ticks. I got a case of Limes Desease this past year with a red spot the size of a football before my stubborn butt (as my better half calls it) went to see the Doctor. I guess that was waiting a bit long. Hope you have a speedy recovery.

Irwin, you paid what we would have with the spider bite. No kiddin' those trees would sell for a minimum $65.00 around here, add another twenty for flocking.

Get well dude!

Irwin glad that you are feeling better. Sorry that happened to you, you don't even have the satisfaction of killing what bit ya, at least with a mosquito you can usually swat it and get even but when those creepy sneaky insects bite you and run....
I absolutely hate spiders and lately I have been seeing some weird ones out in the chicken coop, ones I never saw before.
I usually let insects go about their business but I kill any and all spiders that I can find.
Once when my youngest was little she woke up in the morning with a trail of bites across her face, huge hard red welts that started at the lower end of one side of her face and went completely across and up the other side.
I freaked out and tore the crib apart and everything else looking for the nasty thing but never found it.
I was so angry that something did that to my baby in her sleep and like I said I never got the satisfaction of killing it so I carry on my vendetta against all spiders.
It never even woke her up because the crib was in my room and she never cried.
The doctor said to just keep an eye on them but they didn't disappear completely for almost a month.
It was the middle of winter here then too and I have no idea how it got into the house.
At the time I wondered about the fireplace in my bedroom but I guess it could have gotten in from a crack or whatever.
I hate spiders.
