How much how often?
« on: March 14, 2012, 09:18:22 am »
Okey dokey, lemongrass oil to lure bees, got it.  Nuc (without comb), got it.

So how much lemongrass oil and how often and how applied?  Dummy here.

Anyone know what month to start expecting swarms in Pacific NW?  The weather is way crazy this year, latest snow I have seen since I moved here was yesterday.   ..............

At least once a year whether it needs it or not...  I put about four drops.

I have lived in the Pacific Northwest for over 40 years. The latest I can remember snow was April 1st (no fooling  ;)). I don't have experience with catching swarms, so I can't give any usefull information on that.

I've seen snow in early May often enough... but I can't say that's the norm...

Well I remember a summer in Colorado when it snowed on July 4.    But that was Colorado and you could expect snow 12 months of the year, or rain, or sleet, or hail, and even yes, sometimes sunshine....all in one day even
