Greeting From Columbia, South Carolina
« on: April 15, 2006, 01:04:51 am »
Hello Fellow Beekeepers,

My name is Scott and I am a beekeeper in Columbia, South Carolina. I am new to the hobby (1st season) and I absolutely love working and learning about bees. I find myself being very much consumed in understanding their nature and how they interact with each other. They are simply wonderful! I am part of the South Carolina Midstate Beekeepers Association locally and actually built the website for the association.

I have 4 hive at the present time. Two are package bees which I am starting off in a 5 frame nuc and two are mature hives that I bought from a local polinator. I have enjoyed learning from this website and look forward to more.

Ted,

I'm green with envy. I am hoping to be able to do that this year also. Hey did you get the queen? How many bees did you get? Did you come all the way up from Georgia? I actually went out yesterday to get a swarm from a church but the guy had lit off a fogger in the church earlier that week and killed the swarm. DARN SHAME.

I also have another one in the trunk if a tree in Blythewood that is waiting for me.
