Title: Will bee's recycle wax??
Post by: drobbins on June 15, 2005, 06:17:24 pm
Hello All,

I'm switching to all medium boxes and so I'm taking some deep frames and cuting them down to mediums. For each one I end up with 3 inches of scrap comb and honey. The honey mostly comes from syrup and I'm gonna just give it back to the bee's. If I just stick it in a top feeder will they reuse the wax as well?? I guess if not they'll clean it up good and I can retrieve it

They won't reuse it, but if they do anything to it, they'll chew it up into something like sawdust. They did that to wax I let them clean.
