Title: Queen Cell Finishing Hive
Post by: homer on June 27, 2009, 12:05:39 am
Why do you want to have a queenright hive for finishing queen cells?  Couldn't you just let them start and finish in the same hive without moving them, or using a cloake board?

Yes you can let them start and finish in the same hive.  The advantage of a Cloake Board is that the hive is still in "production" while still incubating the queen cells.  In other words, it takes fewer resources.  Some people also feel you get a higher quality queen from a queen right hive.
