Lots of comb

My dad had these two hives that he forgot to put in an extra frame, (9/10) and the girls just made comb to fit the extra space, so i was curious, should i cut it down to size and add another frame or let it be?
Thanks a lot guys

I tend to let it be once it's like that. But I prefer 11 frames (cutting down the end bars a bit) or 10 frames in a 10 frame box. Mostly because it prevents that thick comb from happening. But then I also try to keep an empty frame at one end both to provide some space for the queen and to make it easier to remove the first frame.
