I'm in agreement that the bites/stings the horses are experiencing are most likely not from bees.  Not in the areas they are getting them.  Basic horse maintenance:  Fly masks and fly spray.

Annette:  One of my first-year beeks used your method of soaker hose sprayed with syrup and lemon grass to retrain her bees.  Worked fantastic!  Thank you!

It was all mentioned here on this forum about the sugar syrup and lemongrass oil. I learn everything from this forum.
