Anybody in Melbourne seen any queen cells or had swarm call outs?

Hi folks,

just wondering if anybody in melbourne has seen any queen cells or had any swarm call outs yet? I suspect in the next week or two things are going to start heating up in terms of swarms...

Not yet but I've been wondering the same thing. My girls have been busy, busy, busy; I just haven't had time to look under the lid.

I received a few calls yesterday for scout bees so they're definitely going to start firing soon!

Looks like swarms have started! one set-up shop in some boxes at my front door!

Got a call yesterday, but it wasnt a swarm , seems with all the high winds a tree with a nest in it came down, nice easy rescue just put a box down and dropped comb from the nest in it, left the box and went back last night to pick them all up, just got to put the comb in empty frames back at home prolly do that today, re Neil

Give it time, we need a few really nice warm days, i suspect they will need time to build up too, Bob & Barb have had a few calls
apparently..

I've had three call outs for actual bees and about 10 calls for scout bees in the past 5 days.
