Anyone use the 2 larvae grafting system?
« on: March 27, 2014, 04:07:38 pm »
I hand graft my queens but am wondering if anyone ever experience the 2 larvae grafting, leaving the nurse bees the option of 2 larvae?
Is your percentage increased to the point to make it worth while?
Is there any tricks you must be aware of, like placement?
Thanks,

When I was doing the Jenter method I sometimes had two larvae in a cup.  I would say it probably makes no difference, but then it's likely that the food is getting shared by two larvae so they are probably not fed as well,  If they don't like the larvae you give them they don't make a queen out of it.
