hello from Indiana USA
« on: May 13, 2013, 11:29:33 am »
Hi all, I have been a beekeeper for three years now, but this past winter I lost both of my hives to starvation.  I admit I probably did a few things wrong, starting late last summer, but you live and learn.  I'm starting from scratch again this summer. I have enough equipment now for 5 hives, but will be lucky if I can get two started again. Trying to find packages of bee's around the state has been difficult, and so probably won't have my bee's till mid June. So with the late start, I will have to see how well we do going into fall.  Look forward to hearing about what others are doing and learning some new things. AndBee

Welcome to the forum, Andbee.  Check to see if there is a local bee club, they can help with local knowledge and may have some bees you could get.  Good luck

Joe

Welcome to the forum!   I'm in Greene County, IN. [Lost a hive for the same reason this winter.  Live and learn.]  Update your location so we know about where you are.  Best of luck to you!
