Thanks to Vets

My humblest of thanks to all the Veterans who may be members here.  I offer my sincere gratitude for your service and sacrifice that you have made.  Not just today but everyday.  We thank you and wish we could thank your buddies that are not here anymore. May God Bless you beyond measure.

I'll echo Mike's sentiments....we are proud of our vets and honored by your service.

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Someone really ought to tell them that the world of Ayn Rand?s novel was not meant to be aspirational.

As a vet, I add many thanks to our current serving defenders of freedom. Our prayers are with you and God speed.

My 4 years, Army, 82Nd Airborne, 66Th special forces paramedic, pre Vietnam and 1st year of that conflict hardly compares to what I know the ones are confronted with in Afghanistan,et al. But, the commitment is the same.
