Just got off the phone with Emil. He has this hive in a deep and two mediums. The bees from the first removal are steadily kicking the rubber bands out of the entrance. That is a very good sign and pretty quick for a hive that was just removed a week ago.

This is another nice video JP. It must be a little tougher on the ladder and overhead the whole time.
The special effects at the end are looking good. If bee removal doesn't work out perhaps you should become a movie producer. :-D

Thanks for sharing this with us!

Joe.

Believe it or not I felt more beat up after the garage removal I just posted, where Emil and I removed those two from that nasty wall. I guess it was just a long day and that I consumed too much salt that day from the anchovies on my left over pizza. My lower back and feet were hurting like the dickens and my ring finger on my right hand was swollen up, not from getting stung. Go figure.

As for the movie thing, its all Imovie, but thanks for the compliment!

Question for you JP.

Was the drone brood above the worker brood in these photos?

Thx,

Jay

Schawee and I were supposed to do a removal today and tomorrow (house with three colonies) but the lady rescheduled.

Schawee also happened to be sick today, think he'll be sick for at least a few more days. My wife has been sick for about five days now, nephew had it too, think its a virus going around.

Annette, when Schawee gets better it won't be so peaceful anymore!  :-D

Schawee, Schawee, Schawee!!! More Gator hunting videos too please.

You twos banter back and forth sober is funnier then watching bird dogs passing peach stones, can't imagine what you'd be like after a few beers.

We have one scheduled for next Wednesday right near Schawee's house. Lady says they've been there for at least eleven years. They are in the exterior chimney housing.

I've already looked at the hive, very dark comb. One popped me for getting too close, was kinda windy though & they are very small.
