Hi all. I kept bees as a young teen. Gave it up when I was 16 or 17, now I'm 45 and going to start again with my son who is 15. Got 3 packages ordered and are impatiently awaiting there arrival.

Welcome to the forum! I just started this year and my son is enjoying working the hives with me. He is 21. I think this will be great for you and your son.

Welcome, Dave.  Good luck with your packages.

I'm fairly new at this too.  I'm just waiting for my 10 month old grandson to be big enough for a beesuit!  My daughter is not particularly eager for this to happen   :-D, but I am!

   Hi Dave and welcome...

My kids and I started two years ago this July.  I got the desire when I was seven and took forty years before I started.
Everyone said it couldn't be done. But he with a chuckle replied, "I won't be one to say it is so, until I give it a try."  So he buckled right in with a trace of a grin.  If he had a worry he hid it and he started to sing as he tackled that thing that couldn't be done, and he did it.  (unknown)
