hives for sale S.W Michigan
« on: August 24, 2012, 12:01:07 pm »
I am moving and can not take my two hives.  I have two very healthy and great queen hives for sale.  They were started with packages from Gardner Apiary in GA. this yr.  I had two dead outs so they were started with all pulled brood boxes and the queen did very well. Hive stand screen bottom board and or solid bottom board, two brood boxes, inner and outer covers.  All wooden wear is in very good shape and I don't believe any is older than 3 yrs.

I would put an ad on Craigslist for the hives.  I have seen plenty of hives and swarms sold around here in the spring on Craigslist.  I would expect it would be harder to move a hive this time of year in Michigan with winter not too far off, but you never know.  People probably get the bug to be a bee keeper year round and may want to get started ASAP instead of waiting until spring.
