Hi everyone. I am from CT and this is my first year and hope to learn as much as I can. I have one 8 frame hive with Italians. They seem to be doing really well but I will hold off on that until spring....the real test.

Welcome to the forum. :cheer: Please consider changing your profile to show your town and state so we can better help you.
Also look for a local bee keepers club where you might be able to pick up a mentor to look over your shoulder.
For now with winter coming read, read, read.
And ask questions or share experiences. -Mike

Welcome to the forum, TJ. There are lots of threads and videos here, and you may want to join your local bee club.
Good luck

I'm new and in CT also. We had bees the last 2 years, last fall the combo of a hurricane and a bear killed our bees. We were sitting out this year, but suddenly have a baby swarm, that we would love to help survive if we can.
