Bellara (Bribie Island) swarm shake
« on: September 25, 2012, 12:04:17 am »
I just arrived home this morning from rescuing a colony of bees from some land that was being cleared when I received call to collect a swarm that landed in a palm tree in someones front yard.
The home owner actually called a pest controller to take care of them but the pest controller called me in.

By the time I arrived I was told half the swarm had already moved on so I shook what was left into a box. they seemed to enjoy their new home so I left them onsite and will collect them tonight.
No video of this one as I was in a mega rush. Sorry

Just half the swarm?   Looks good to me.

Yeah the home owner said that what I collected was only half the size it was when they originally arrived.
