I got some good news from the State Bee Inspector on the test done in my bee yard for Africanized Bees.
I found a small cluster of bees on the ground under a piece of plastic mat.
Those gals had about 4 attitudes that day.
I called the state inspector and he was very interested in them.
He took a sample and another sample from a nuc that was close to it.
Both test came back saying they were European honey bees.
The state did a FABIS test (Fast Africanized Bee Identification System)
Raising Queens and Bees, the last thing I needed was having Africanized bees around. :)

Genetics are the issue. FABIS just measures them. Size is due to cell size, and cell size is influenced by foundation... FABIS just tells you if they are small...
If they are mean, I would requeen...

Those darn Africans have many people worried, some people keep them. I'm not sure why but maybe someone can chime in on that.
