Hi
« on: April 21, 2013, 11:30:47 pm »
I am new to the forum and just wanted to say, "Hi".  I have some friends with hives and I have helped them over the years and I am just getting ready to take the plunge and start my own.  I know that I have a lot to learn so I will be more a reader than a poster, but I will ask questions from time to time.  Thanks for such a great forum!

Hold on tight, it's gonna be a wild ride!

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Let me guess, you're from Bangladesh?  No, you're from...wait a minute...don't tell me....uh, near Fairvale, California!  No?....oh, I see...you're hopelessly lost!  :)  Seriously, knowing where you're located will help people answer those questions that you mentioned. ;)

Welcome to the forum and to beekeeping, Hornet.

Best wishes to you and your bees!

American blood spilled to protect the freedom and peace of people all over the world.  320,000 USA casualties in WWI, 1,076,000 USA casualties in WWII, 128,000 USA casualties in the Korean War, 211,000 casualties in the Vietnam "conflict", 57,000 USA casualties in "War on Terror".  Benghazi, Libya, 13 USA casualties. These figures don't include 70,000 MIA.  But, the leaders of one political party of the United States of America continue to make the statement..."What difference does it make?".

"We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism, but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism, until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism."..."The press is our chief ideological weapon." - Nikita Khrushchev
