Bought a Ranger Radial
« on: February 16, 2005, 07:30:32 am »
I asked about extractors. Well, I bought a Ranger Radial (motorized), stand, and optional baskets for deep frames. Also, an uncapping knife and a band for warming crystalized honey in a bucket.

A local  hobby beekeeper died, and his widow wanted to sell some of his equipment. The extractor was one of his last purchases, and he used it only once.

Although I didn't know him, it's obvious from the way she talks about him that he was a great guy. So I'm glad that I could "inherit" some of his equipment and give it a good home. She said they shared many hobbies, but the bees were his.

Funny thing. I went to buy an extractor and ended up buying an extractor and amazed at the joy and sadness of a great, long marriage.

You got something very special out of the purchase. That's really cool.
