Wasp and swarm traps.
« on: October 11, 2010, 09:47:53 pm »
If a wasp takes up home in a swarm trap will the bees still try to use it or will they leave it alone because of the wasp.

Will the lemon grass oil be a deterrent to the wasp and keep them out of the trap

Wasp and bees do not get along.  If wasp take up, you take them out.

The bees won't move into a wasp nest.  You will need to remove them.  They also won't move into a finch nest (the other thing that seems to move into my bait hives).
