Hello from Wagga Wagga Australia
« on: December 03, 2012, 03:22:40 am »
Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and new to bee keeping :)

I have 2 hives which have been going strong for 3 weeks now, almost ready to put the second box onto. I am really enjoying this hobby and already love my bees. The more I learn about the bees the more I love them, such interesting and complex little creatures.

In other areas of my life I am an absolute horse nut and own two quarter horses, a 15 year old mare and a 2 year old filly. I do low level dressage and jumping mostly, as well as trails and a bit of everything else.

My day job is as a mental health support worker for high needs clients with moderate to severe mental health issues. It's a great job, with highs and lows, it is wonderful helping people moving along their recovery journeys.

I also volunteer as a youth mentor. Other interests include reading, health and fitness, nature, sustainable agriculture, science, aussie rules, cricket and cooking.

Nice to be here, can't wait to have a look around :)

Thank you all,

Annette, Aus has heaps of cool place names, Wagga Wagga is pretty tame compared to some of them. Just in my region we have Walla Walla, Baranduda and Burrumbuttock haha.
