Aspiring beekeeper/smallholder - happy to join!
« on: August 28, 2013, 01:12:41 am »
Hello! Found this forum through JP the Beeman and Schawee. I'm so excited to join and learn more about bees. I was raised on a dairy farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains and swore I'd never go back to farming. However, my husband and I have really changed our perspective on food and farming after watching the whole River Cottage series (BBC). Now, we are making plans to get out of the city in the next 12-24 months and start a little homestead. Bees and fruit trees will be our first additions [and then chickens, and then pigs, and then... and then...].

We're happy to learn from everyone here. :yippiechick: Thanks for the warm welcome!

Welcome to the forum, bobanda.  There are lots here to help, you may want to find a local bee club also.  Good luck with your return to the country life.
