What does mean when there are HUNDREDS of Bees hanging out on the entrance. It been REALLY hot here that last 2 or 3 days.
-
they are bearding... when it gets too hot in the hive, they will bunch up on the outside of the hive to help cool the hive down a little....mine are doing it here in PA almost every night until it cools down
-
zzen01, you may be already doing this, but are you venting your hive? It helps dissipate the heat.

It means it's not REALLY hot or there would be tens of thousands...
