What does mean when there are HUNDREDS of Bees hanging out on the entrance. It been REALLY hot here that last 2 or 3 days.

they are bearding... when it gets too hot in the hive, they will bunch up on the outside of the hive to help cool the hive down a little....mine are doing it here in PA almost every night until it cools down

zzen01, you may be already doing this, but are you venting your hive?  It helps dissipate the heat.

It means it's not REALLY hot or there would be tens of thousands...
