I have met beekeepers that are doctors, lawyers, farmers, and today on here I find a pharmasist!   I work as a firefighter/EMT and also as a corrections officer and am a team leader on the states emergency response team.     How about you?    Just curious.

I'm a writer and a business owner. I'm also gearing up for figure competition.

I'm Vegan, the main reason for getting bees is well... I really do love them and have always been fascinated by them, even as a child. Also, I'm really concerned with the decline so want to do my part (although small) to help out. I don't have honey bees yet, but looking forward to getting them next Spring, until then I'll keep educating myself, and hopefully network with more beekeeping folks in my area and online too.

Part-time medical transcriptionist, part time organic vegetable-share business owner.
The pedigree of honey
Does not concern the bee;
A clover, any time, to him
Is aristocracy.

Thanks for the info on Michael Bush, I've bookmarked the site. I've really enjoy the information here, I've learned a lot simply by reading posts, saves me from asking some of my questions.

Locally I'm hoping to eventually visit a few beekeepers homes, been a while since I've been around anyone with bees. I did join a beekeeping club in Maryland, so looking forward to attending some of the meetings.

Full time as an installer/repairman for the local telephone co.  Hobbies are to many to mention :D

I am a executive chef. I raise poultry and bees and would love enough money to get more land for cattle and a fishing pond and a HUGE garden :)

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Husband is a project manager in NYC for IT installs, moves, etc.

I'm currently unemployed (since early 2009 - still looking).  I was a Training Manager\Operations Manager for Citigroup until being laid off.

Youth ministry...and I love to bring the kids to the hives. At first they're a little hesitant and think it's kinda dorky.  After one visit, they love it.
