Title: Solar Wax Melter
Post by: sean on July 14, 2007, 03:16:40 pm
Ok. I am in the process of constructing mine. Got an old igloo, have my duct tape and glass. Question, the container that i will place in the igloo if it were tin(like an old cheese pan) would it be more effective than a plastic container, plus the water that is placed in there should it be just pipe water or hot water. if just pipe water why not hot?

tried and ....It works. put in some old comb i was changing out the hive. Its a lot cleaner, prettier less messy and cheaper than the old way i use to use(the stove). good thing the wife never found out. I think i need a bigger container, the elastic band i used melted/burst and a lot of the wax spread along the paper towel and drained inside the igloo. Any suggestions?
