Phacelia tanacetifolia

The Phacelia is still in glory blooming too, but again, doubt if there is nectar.  One of the favourites of my bees.  The pollen of the Phacelia is dark purple, so pretty to see on the bees pollen baskets.

But they are having a great time on the California Poppy, growing like a wild man's hair around here.  This is a late fall pollen source for the bees, good to have around, and comes up very very early in the spring too.

Have a wonderful and beautiful day in your life.  Cindi

There are strange things done in the midnight sun by the men who moil for gold.  The Arctic trails have their secret tales that would make your blood run cold.  The Northern Lights have seen queer sights, but the queerest they ever did see, what the night on the marge of Lake Lebarge, I cremated Sam McGee.  Robert Service
