first honey (sugar) extraction
« on: May 02, 2006, 06:14:46 pm »
I just spinned almost five galons of honey/ sugar, surplus from the winter stores I took from my two hives . Now two questions: may I feed with this sugar my new nucs coming this month or should I keep it for the same hives for next winter? Second: how to feed it? Should I dilute it, if yes what ratio?

It will keep better if you don't dilute it.  If it was capped and if you put it in a bucket it should keep until you need it.  I'd feed it straight.
