Greetings, just found this site. Not a newbee but always learning.
My interests include Queen Rearing,  Selection and Instrumental Insermination.

Welcome to the forums!!!!

You'll find MANY members with the same interests as you here, and those numbers are growing every day.

I'm really enjoying the daily growth numbers (the real people not all those spam-bots I erase each day - ugh) and it really is great to see intermediate beekeepers advancing with the guidance and lateral learning of others with similar defined interests.

I'm back to square one with the loss of both hives this year, something I take no pride in since I could have done so much better at hive maintenance and building up last season - I put my other hobbies ahead of beekeeping and my poor C1 and C2 hives suffered the ultimate price for my lackey shameful beekeeping practices.

Besides being dead, my bees looked very healthy    meaning, no real signs of diseases or parasites, just dead bees on the bottom board and none sticking out of the cells, no fungus or anything that would immediately trigger logical causes of death.

I haven't weighed either hive, but I know each 2 super high hive still weighs about 90lbs or more, I have a lot of honey on most of the frames (at least 1/4 filled frames) with nicely sealed cells.

The robber bees have not been back, I'm in the early days of MAJOR POLLEN FLOW and if I had bees now, they would bee bringing back buckets full to feed the young larva I so wish I had.

Enough whining from me, I just wanted to say hi. Welcome and enjoy the forums, I hope it is the resource that helps you bump up to the next level in hive manipulation - rearing and insemination is fun and doing it the right way can really be rewarding.
