    Old  Sea Story

There's an old sea story about a ship's Captain who inspected his sailors,
and afterward told the first mate that his men smelled bad.
The Captain suggested perhaps it would help if the sailors would change
    underwear occasionally.
The first mate responded, "Aye, aye sir, I'll see to it immediately!"

The first mate went straight to the sailors berth deck and announced,
"The Captain thinks you guys smell bad and wants you to change
    your underwear."
He continued, "Pittman, you change with Jones, McCarthy, you change
with Witkowski, and Brown, you change with Schultz."

    THE MORAL OF THE STORY:

Someone may come along and promise "Change", but don't count on things
    smelling any better.

Scott
"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Theodore Roosevelt 1907

I think it is a lonely few that really want change. They do not want to change the game, which is what I feel like most Americans want. The party not in power just want to change who is running the game.
That's all I'm gonna say bout that.

that would be pretty funny if there wasn't so much truth in it. every time i think about a certain politicians speech that included the word "change" @ 30,000 times i just reach into my pocket, for that is the only change i have seen in these last two years.

But I never heard what the change was that everybody wanted?
