Swarm In Autumn in Melbourne
« on: March 23, 2013, 06:53:23 am »
I had a call out in a SE suburb of Melbourne for this bee swarm. Nice and easy swarm to get to!

Whilst I had another call out to remove these bees from a compost bin. A lot trickier than the swarm!
Not sure if you can see them but the bees were using the vent as the entrance.

Nice. They are big enough that if you can get feed them enough food, they could make it through the winter. After they get started you might want to add a few frames of capped honey. Do you still have enough flowers for them to stock up on pollen?
