Visitors early in Southern PA
« on: March 09, 2010, 04:40:44 pm »
I set my new hives out in the sun to freshen up before paint and I noticed a half dozen girls hanging out.  Since I hardly saw any bees on my property much less before any thing is in bloom.  I grabbed a new nuc framed it up dropped some lemongrass in and filled up a feeder.  It has to be too early for a swarm in this neck of the woods but had to try.  It was nice seeing them.  I am right on the PA MD border.

That's definitely not a swarm.  They are just getting a bite to eat since you provided a free lunch.  :-)
