Hi,
I live in NSW Australia and have been beekeeping for about 12 months.
Currently have 3 hives and look forward to expanding this number up to around 100 hives as a longer term goal.
If my experience allows I would like to try and double my number of hives each year by spitting, catching swarms and buying the odd package when things go wrong. So far things seem to go wrong a lot!
I look forward to learning and contributing to this great forum.

Welcome to the forum, Willy. If its like around here I would see no problem in doubling size for a while anyway, splitting and catching swarms. Things do go wrong sometimes, you just have to hope for the best. Good luck to you and your bees.

<<So far things seem to go wrong a lot!>> That is part of the learning curve and the cost of the education. Welcome sir. A good down under contingent here so you should find lots of good help.

Yeah I must admit at this stage I kinda like it when things go wrong. It means I get to put into practice something that I've only read about and then come out the other side knowing how to deal with it next time......hopefully!.

Welcome,Willy. I really want to visit Australia one day before I die. I would love to dive the Great Barrier Reef and see the sights.
