I would have to say yes and no.   Yes It is huge and has everything you will need and alot you will never use.  No because when you want to find the answer to a question, it will be in there somewhere but isn't always easy to find.  I prefer ABC XYZ.    It also has more than you will ever need but is aphabetically printed.  You want to find say "cloaking board"  just look in the C section

I wasn't sure if I did or not so I looked it up in the "R's" in the ABC book and all it said was "see startrek"

My two main references when I started were "The Hive and the Honey Bee" from Dadant and "ABC and XYZ of Beekeeping".  I still have them and still refer to them.  The new versions of these same books, however are very chemical oriented (even the old ones were somewhat with Fumigil and Terramycin recommended but the new ones are off on mites etc.)  I can't say I care for all the advice to use chemicals at every turn with no mention that the chemicals cause more problems than they solve....
