I have discovered that the SHB in my hive are hidding in the groove in the slatted rack, between the cross bars.
What would be a good material to fill in this space?

How about melting some of your junk wax that you can't use for anything else into the hole? After reading this I'm going to keep an eye on mine now. Thanks for the heads up.
