Post by: pembroke on December 14, 2012, 12:17:25 pm
what kind of price are you getting per pound of wax? I have 6 to 8 lbs of clean, pure wax, strained to filter out foreign substances. Thanks for info. Pembroke

http://www.ebeehoney.com/beeswax.html (http://www.ebeehoney.com/beeswax.html)

just one of many sources

NW-515 1 lb. (453.58g) White Honey Wax Pearls $ 11.95,    Mann Lake

Some beeks never buy from other beeks, due to unknown contaminants such as pesticides.

To price it better we would like to know color, content, etc.   -Mike

I get $2 per 1+ oz if I've made it into nice disks for retail.  Wholesale to artists and candle makers, $5 a pound.  I obviously prefer to sell the disks.

color: yellowish----pesticides: not around here that I know of.------ heated: to melting point, smells OK. -----strained with very fine tea strainer to filter out fine particles. I wasn't trying to sell on here, just trying to feel out pricing possibilities. Interested???
