The hive length was 2 to 3 ft. long and was possibly 12" in diameter.  Laying horizontaly, the top of the hive had hinged doors.
My favorite comedy program used to be Glenn Beck--The only thing is that after I heard the same joke over and over again it became BOOOORING.....

I seem to remember a hive design that looked like a spacecraft design,but for some reason I remember  triangle shapes for some reason.

If you go to the previous page I posted a link to a barrel shaped hive with round frames.  That's similar to the hexagon hive I saw only for the shape.
