Title: Tung oil & Beeswax
Post by: WaterCanyonBeeCo on January 22, 2012, 10:54:19 am
Getting ready to put together our first nucs and hives. I'd like to use an oil and beeswax finish on the outside to protect the wood.  I've looked into using Tung oil or Walnut oil instead of linseed.

If you've used tung oil mixed with beeswax as a finish can you comment on how it worked (or didn't work) for you.

Also, what ratio (recipe) did you use of Tung oil to beeswax.

Thanks in advance for your tips and info. :)
