Roodoc!!
Welcome to the forums!!
And lots of bee stuff here too!! :-D
But....tell me about the peacocks some more! Ive always wanted some even tho ppl warn me not to get them!  What do i need to keep them in? I live in the country, with 7 dogs (Yes, it was six last time I mentioned them), and I dont think I can let them be free roaming or the hawks, owls, and coyotes and bobcats will get them...Can you post a pic of your pen? so i will know how to start out or if I even should?
your friend,
john

You do need a large area W/a cover cause they can fly really well! Dogs like to "play" with them!  They are only noisy in the breeding season when the males look pretty. The males will preen & strut at anything shiny when they see their reflection. In the fall they lose their beautiful tails & keep quiet from embarrassment!  J

My wife take in unwanted parrots and find them homes.
Most of the didn't leave.
And I think the cockatoo is the cleverest of all the parrots and most certainly the most social.

My name is... my name! lol. I was lucky, it wasn't taken!

Hi Cheryl from another women beekeeper here in lovely Placerville California. Tell us a bit about your beekeeping background. Are you new at this??? I am still rather new having done this for 3 years now. So much to learn along the way, and the forum is a great way to get all the help you need.

Take care and stay in touch
Annette

Was born in Alabama, "The Heart of Dixie" . Wound up growing up in Broward county near Ft. Lauderdale. Health stopped my night dives with the sharks as Dixie diver. Started beek two months ago doing swarm captures. Almost as big adrenaline rush!!

The Dalai Lama once told a group of students that the secret of life is to: "be happy and make others happy."
I've always liked and respected bees since I was 7 - I was happy just seeing them visit my garden (but always believed that I would one day take up beekeeping)
      - when my garden failed last year because no bees were visiting I knew it was time to get going and keep bees.
I love sitting by the hive and seeing the pollen come in or just what they do at the entrance. so I'm 'bee' happy.
be happy and make others happy.

Mine is Russian for rooster. I raise chickens and bees, both as a hobby which means i pay more for eggs and honey then if I went to the store.
