Reuse old honey frames
« on: October 15, 2012, 12:08:23 pm »
I just made my first successful harvest, great honey!

Due to my inexperience and help from my kids the comb on my frames is pretty mangled in several spots! (looks like i tried to de-cap with a dull spoon and hammer)

Will the Bees fix this?  I have heard they would but did not know to what extent.  How bad is too bad?

Thanks

They'll fix anything in any shape.... all the way from nothing. They are quite able to build from nothing as in the wild so they'll build from not much as well !! ;)

We have comb that gets blown out during extraction or tore up while the bees are cleaning them up or us moving them around, and the bees fix them just fine.
