Title: Rookie BEEK in San Antonio
Post by: duryeafarms on April 22, 2013, 02:08:56 pm
Hi Everybody! I should have made my introduction a little while ago, but better late than never.

After studying and thinking about it for two years, I took the plunge and started a top bar hive one week ago with a package from Beeweaver.  Looking forward to the journey.

Jon

Welcome to the forum, Duryeafarms.  You should enjoy the ride.  Keep a check on the comb, that it is being run straight.  If there is a local bee club, you may want to join.  In our local club, I thing I am the ony one with a TBH.  Good luck to you and your bees.

Check on both. I've been a member of the local club for 6 months. Awesome group, a couple of top bar folks. I'm definitely keeping an eye on comb linearity :-)
Thanks

Welcome to the forum and beekeeping, Jon.

It sounds like you've done a lot of studying, but your education has only begun!  ;)

Best wishes to you and the bees,
Ed
