Post by: the-ecohouse.com on August 22, 2012, 01:38:21 am
Hi Guys

Where does everyone put their swarm traps?

I'm going to put a few out this year, I'm just not sure where to put them?

cheers

I have had luck placing one in a fork of a tree, used lemmon grass oil , and a frame of foundation, 2 weeks and there were bees in it!  :)
Reckon now is the time to put them out as its starting to warm up...

I have been putting some up ready for the swarm season!
Here is one of mine in Seville.

Historically, the rails of my back porch have had the highest catch numbers of my swarm traps over the years.   But just about anywhere works.
