Yeah they ran the story on NBC Nightly News also,

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/20612274/

Wonder if there will be a reinstatement of the Australian ban or if enforced  restrictions on China if those are the common thread?
Everyone said it couldn't be done. But he with a chuckle replied, "I won't be one to say it is so, until I give it a try."  So he buckled right in with a trace of a grin.  If he had a worry he hid it and he started to sing as he tackled that thing that couldn't be done, and he did it.  (unknown)

Its a load of hogwash.

If Australia was the cause of CCD and harbouring this desease, dontcha reckon thre would have been ONE case of CCD in Australia at the very least?

What segment of beekeepers is hardest hit by "CCD" ?   The Migratory ones?  They starve their bees so the hives are lighter so it's cheaper to ship em'.  They then hurry to get them to the fields where the bees get only one kind of pollen.  They keep their bees on the verge of starving a good portion of the time.

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce would today cost $100, get a million miles per gallon, and explode once a year, killing everyone inside.

Our politicians have a bad habit of either panic-management (no real logic or science to support) or apathy to the point of letting things go too far so there is no turning back.  So far I have not seen anything that this is conclusive nor whether it's the a major or minor peice of the puzzle.  Still way too many variable to look at.  The one real common thread so far is stressed colonies, that I've seen any way.
