Kerri's bees
« on: November 07, 2011, 10:06:27 pm »
I thought ya'll might like to see this one unedited. Kerri herself shot this for us and I gotta warn ya it's a little Blair Witch but it was a fun little job.

"In the first place, we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the person's becoming in every facet an American, and nothing but an American...There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...And we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

Actually liked this one quite a lot. Fun & educational, good stuff going on between you and Peg. Wasn't too Blair witch either.  ;)

I enjoyed this one, learned a few little tips, like the pinching together.

Now, a question.  Did you cut the bottoms of the combs just to make them sit better in the frame?  Other than that there really was no need to cut them, correct?

I am so amazed the way you handle bees bare handed.  Did you get any stings on your hands during that cutout?

Thanks ya'll, we had fun with it! Jack, you guessed it. The comb sits much better it you cut a small flat spot and we always check it in a few days to make sure the comb is aligned. If you start them out good and straight the subsequent combs are drawn straight as well.

No stings on this one although that's a rarity :-D

Another great video.  Keep up the good work, someday they may call you the bee whisperer and have a tv show, LOL!
